Comments:On 28.09.2024, the Nagrik Project observed that the Arunachal Pradesh RTI Online Portal was operational and was accepting RTI applications for 108 Public Authorities.

This was not always the case. The above-mentioned letters were sent to the Arunachal Pradesh Government on 23.04.2024 and 23.04.2024 to bring their attention to the fact that their RTI web portals had no authorities onboarded. After noticing no response, further action was taken.

Meanwhile the Arunachal Pradesh Government updated their website to say it is in the “testing phase”. We noted that this “testing phase” was finished and the portal was now accepting applications.

However, peculiarly enough – the fee charged for RTI filing in the state is only 2 Rupees.
Furthermore, the glaring problem (as is with all state portals) is that not all authorities have been on boarded on to the website.
